Granite Roadbase (close up) - It can be used under and behind retaining walls, under poured cement or asphalt or anywhere non expansive material is needed.
Granite Roadbase (road) - Granite roadbase makes an inexpensive and long lasting road.
It is the longest lasting, least expensive driveway, road and parking lot material. In average daily use a 2 inch depth should last 3-5 years, a 3 inch depth should last 4-6 years.
Granite Roadbase (pile) - Granite roadbase delivered in a pile. Cleaner material is always striking in appearance and creates a clean surface when spread and compacted.
Granite Roadbase (close up) - Granite roadbase is a manufactured product according to a specification. Roadbase is engineered to spread out into an even application that will firm up with compaction and the heat of the Summer.

The material is delivered in piles ready for spreading out using rakes, bobcat skid loaders or tractors.

This material will cover this area and keep it weed free. This is a very good surface for trailer or RV storage.
Class 6 Granite Roadbase can also be used as a non-expansive fill material, because it contains no clay. When it gets wet it will not become slippery and slimy or dangerous to work or drive on. It can be used under and behind retaining walls, foundation drainage, under artificial turf, pavers, etc..
You do not need to install landscaping fabric under compactable materials. Compactable materials compact to form a solid, flat surface, so weeds cannot get light and moisture to grow (germinate). Examples; any type of roadbase, (recycled asphalt, class 6 granite or recycled concrete), class 1 structural fill dirt, granite or river rock crusher fines. If you want to spend the time and money to install the fabric and pins, it doesn't hurt anything.

To Order the Correct Amount of Material
Measure the length and width of the area to be covered. If you don't have a tape measure, walk the length and width of the area. Figure each full step as 2 1/2 feet. Get the total square footage of the area by multiplying the length by the width.
Example: 30 feet x 40 feet = 1200 square feet
1200 sq.. ft. divided by 100 = 12 tons 2" depth
1200 sq.. ft. divided by 60 = 15 tons 3" deep
