In an order to save as much water as possible, in the Denver Metro area, the State of Colorado and almost all cities have started lawn replacement programs, under different names; grass replacement programs, lawn replacement, turf replacement, etc.... These programs pay direct and indirect subsides to homeowners and property owners to replace their lawn with landscaping materials and native plants.
You may want to check out our Xeriscape page for information on those programs. Here is the most current information we can find on the grass/lawn/turf programs. Much of the information seems to be from 2022. Many cities are directing their citizens to
https://cwcb.Colorado.Gov/turf and https://resourcecentral.org/lawn/, sites to get the rebate information.
We recommend calling your city or county office for the most up to date information in your area.
